Lots of private sector employees have job-related injuries too. Part of life for most people who do hands-on work.

Are old, crippled-up farmers all heroes too?
What about busted-up oilfield workers?
Even retired football players got brain damage. Do they deserve extra credit?

I think the article, to a very large extent, hit the nail on the head.

Class Warfare: Government Workers Vs. The Taxpayers
By ANN COULTER
[Linked Image]

The real class warfare in this country isn't rich vs. poor. It's government employees vs. we, the taxpayers, who pay their salaries. ...

There is also a sort of "class warfare" between those who receive subsidies vs. those who pay taxes.

Interestingly it appears that in both cases those who live from the taxes vote Democrat.

There are good and bad employees in every profession and in every crowd. To make a blanket statement in any instance is irresponsible at best.

Or a few days in the radar room during thunderstorm season. Ann is generalising and casting Chitt on a lot of Feds doing critical work for the benefit of all. True enough that a lot of abuse can be found in various bureaucracies, but that's not always the fault of the grunts.

We have affirmative action to thank for much government fat at the federal work place.
I'm afraid we waited to long to end that [bleep]...

I get paid through taxpayer dollars. As a taxpayer, I wish there was more oversight from an outside source of middle and upper management of government agencies. Governors install their cronies as heads of departments and they pain rosy pictures to make each other look like a bunch of saints. If people only knew.

"middle and upper management" key words. These are the employees who could not perform... they could not be fired... so where did they go? UP

Time was to fire a federal employee it took more time to document the employee's sorriness than hours in the day. One could not perform one's job as supervisor and write counseling statements every day, week in and week out. So these sorry asses hung on and were promoted to middle and upper management, where they are now.

You must hate obama's guts.

He's on a fixed salary, he doesn't get more or less for stirring the schidt..., unlike St. Ann of the Adams Apple.

When Obama and Romney start banging on each other, and explaining that SOMEONE ELSE is going to have to pay for the mess that we're in, that's when I lose patience with them both.

We're all going to have to pay for it, and it OUGHT to be enough of a lesson that WE don't let it happen again.

Hard to run two wars on a taxcut and a real-estate bubble, I suggest we don't try again.

I support more taxes, less spending, and working if you want to eat. No hungry kids and no fat mamas.

I don't know how we are going to get there, certainly not with either of the two parties we have on offer.

LT,

is that "damning with faint praise" or

"praising with faint damns"? grin

Can't say I've ever watched either on TV, but seen a few of Coulters posted to the Campfire .

Neither one of them make it on our local (PHX, non-local actually) 10 o'clock news, or PBS. Which is about my TV budget these days.

Doesn't sound like you are too high on the girl, in any case.

In California there are to many public employees making
to much money. Here in my area the President of the
Junior College makes more money than the Governor. Sacramento
has a huge problem with Fire fighters and police makeing
over $200,000.00 per year. Currently most pay nothing into
their retirement. My county with all Republican Supervisor
passed retirement benefits that were so high that the
Supervisors had to get loans from PERS at 7.25% interest
to pay their retirements. IN 3 years the County would be bank-
rupt. The fix for now is the County employes have to pickup
half the cost of their retirement benefits. At least it,s
better for now?

I ain't. She's just another hack, though it's refreshing to see one that's a RINO hack, for a change.
