My BIL wants to start reloading for his .338LM. He has zero reloading experiance, and zero long range experiance. He will need everthing except brass to get started. He will more than likely never use it for hunting. Will the standard RCBS Rockchucker work?
Thanks, MH

The Rockchucker should work. He might have to angle the bullet a little when seating.

MHWASH,
He will have to tip the bullet to get it started, but it will work. I loaded a .375 on one.

Hi the Rockchucker will work fine. I load my 378 Wby in one and like what has been said the bullet needs to be tilted and the loaded round also when removing it from the shell holder. My 338/378 KT is about the same size but holds more powder and I use IMR 7828, RL_22, RL-25. The new Hornady book also lists data for a 285 gr bullet. Randy

He picked the Rockchucker supreme kit. I helped him get it sighted in @100 yards. I wasn't sure where to sight in so I went with 3" @ 100.
