So I'm working up some 7/08 and 7x57 loads to shoot elk with. I want to try Barnes TSX bullets. 120 or 140 grain. Normally I would choose the 140 but now I'm thinking maybe I should use the 120 and get more velocity which should give better expansion etc. Thoughts?

With the tsx's, it's pretty simple. Whichever stay above the expansion threshold (1800fps) longer. They'll both penetrate plenty. So grab a ballistics calculator, punch in the BC's, and let it guide you.
