Well as I have posted previously. I had been thinking about getting a 1911 style pistol. Decided to go with something low dollar with which to get familiar with the platform..In the LGS today they where just putting two Citadel's in the case ( Supposedly built for Legacy Sport's as a slightly better detailed RIA?) I paid the $200 I had on me, and put it on layaway.

They are indeed. The Citadel is built by Armscor / Rock Island and should be a very good pistol for you. Enjoy.

Ye JD maybe that's why I've been so hesitant to jump:o) OR I've got a freind and co-worker who is a ex? Marine, and I mean right down to his boot's. He has two Rock Island's, a full size and a Officer's, and he love's them both. That's what made me go ahead and do the deal. Oh, and as per another thread, they still have the 38 super. Dang it.....

Supers are fun, but get a .45 first.

I think you would have to look long and hard to get a better value in a 1911 than a Citadel. As has been mentioned they are made by Armscor who is intent on making a very fine handgun. If it's a current model I doubt you will find a better trigger on a 1911 without spending almost 2X as much.

I am very happy with my RIA 1911. Trigger is pretty good, quite accurate. I don't care for the sights too much, but not so much a problem to change those.

I have the same affliction. Just bought another Colt in a different flavor. And of course I just said, I don't need another one.
