I used 14 grains of Unique in an '06 with a 130 grain cast GC bullet, and it was death on rabbits and grouse. Bet it would worked on deer as well.

I recieved my 2 boxes of 110gr round nose jacketed bullets today. I believe Ill star out with about 14grs of 2400 and move up from there. if it will shoot cans at 50yds I'll be happy

No, THE load is not suitable for the .30-30, as Ed Harris himself writes. The 13.0 RedDot load is for cases no smaller than the .300 Savage/. 308 Win.
In the .30-30, use 10.0 Unique.
