Galazan's pre '64 Winchester refinishing kit is easy to use and produces results like the original finish. It is available from Galazan's or Brownell's for $35.00. I have used it several times with complet satisfaction. GB Linspeed also does a good job if the stock has not been stripped with a harsh stripper that removes the stain. In that case Pilkington's pre '64 golden stain or red/brown and Linspeed are the ticket. Both come with complete instructions and are easy to use.
