Anybody have some load data for this combo? Ramshot's data only goes up to the 60gr range.

Great. Whenever I use trial and error, it ends up being a little bit of trial, and a schit ton of error.

Well I can speak intelligently on that subject... best velocity and accuracy I have gotten in my PacNor barrel, with a one in 7 twist, is with IMR 4895 or IMR 4064... accuracy edge going to 4064... you'll find also the 75 grain HP is more accurate and as equal to if not better on lethality, as the A Max... don't overlook the 80 grain A max either...I use same load data with it.. 33.5 grains of IMR 4895 or IMR 4064...IMR 3031 at 33 grains also gets honorable mention... my rifle has a long that normal magazine... its previous barrel was a 243...I went with a heavy magnum profile...24 inches.... one in 7 twist...Stainless Barrel, Ruger 77 Mk 2 action.. don't they look purdy no less?

Still nobody with Big Game data? I'm surprised by that.
I will have to blaze this trail myself. Where are my safety goggles...

what could possibly go wrong? Someday I really need to build a fast twist .22-250. Maybe even a n AI, since a friend just got a reamer...

Well, it's a little slower than 4064, RL 15, and H380 so I will just use that data to warm up. My inherent laziness was hoping somebody else had already done this for me. What am I paying you people for? Travis

Seafire,
What speeds do you get with the 75gr?

With 4064 out of a 24 inch barrel about 3350 fps...
when I tried 4350, H 414, 4831, RL 19, RL 22, H 380 I found I was getting less velocity than I had expected...3150 to 3250 fps and accuracy was also sporatic...all of which surprised me...
so I saw the info on the 4064 and IMR 4895 and found those to be faster once I loaded them up and shot over the chronograph...and more accurate...and these were after trying about 10 other slower powders first...
I also tried some RL 17.. and still got in the 3250 range...
no data out yet, but I did want to try and see what I got with AR Comp... that powder has proved to be real accurate in both the 223 and 22.250.. more so than RL 15 and even 4064...

Travis,
One of my handy-dandy formulas suggests that 33-34 grains of Big Game would be about max with a 75.
My best is that Hunter might work a little better, but Ramshot don't list ANY data for it in the .22-250. Nosler, however, lists Hunter as the fastest powder in the .22-250 with 60-grain bullets--though they somehow don't list it for anything heavier. Hunter's burn rate is very similar to RL-19's, which Nosler does list as the fastest powder for 77/80 grain bullets.

Thanks MD. I did some math in my head (very dangerous) and figured I'd start @ 32gr's. So I guess I wasn't too far off. Hopefully BG works. I've used it with the 55's and it shot great. Also using it in the 9.3 and when I burn these last couple pounds of RL15, I'm going to use it in my 7-08. Ramshot or bust... Travis

Travis,
Yeah, after using Ramshot rifle powders for a decade now, I tend to try them in just about any round. As often as not, they work just as well in every way, whether accuracy, velocity, clean burning or temp-resistance. Plus, of course, they meter so well!
Let me know how it works out.
