Has anyone had a problem with excessive creep with the Rifel Basix sear? I've tried everything I know and can't get the creep to stay out. I called and they told me to put more pressure on the spring but by the time I get enough pressure on it, it won't release the bolt when I pull the trigger because the sear is to high. I let off the spring on the trigger and readjust it each time because it puts more pressure on it when you tighten sear spring. Also tightens up pull a lot. It will work fine for a hundred or so rounds but starts to creep and has to be adjusted again and is a long drawn out process to get it back to no creep. This happens every time I go to the range. I spent over two hours with it today, took bolt apart and polished striker and bolt then removed sear and polished it, just will not stay and after polishing will slam fire if bolted to hard and trigger pull over 2lbs. I ordered a SSS from Savage Shooter today, I'm just tired of trying to keep it adjusted. We put a SSS in my brothers about 3 weeks ago and it's one of the sweetest things I've seen in a long time. It took us a little while to get it right but it was worth the time and effort, just didn't want to have to do it. The Basix is really nice when it's working but gives my son a lot of trouble getting use to the creep when it starts. I can alow for it but at 12 and use to shooting light single stage triggers it throws him off his game. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
