I got this emailed to me and thought you might want to give it a quick read:
>Pictured below is a young physician by the name of Dr. Starner Jones. His short two-paragraph letter to the White House accurately puts the blame on a "Culture Crisis" instead of a "Health Care Crisis". It's worth a quick read: If you doubt any part of what Dr. Jones says, go visit your local > hospital emergency room as an observer for an hour or so some Friday or Saturday night. > > Dear Mr. President: > During my shift in the Emergency Room last night, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient whose smile revealed an expensive shiny gold tooth, whose body was adorned with a wide assortment of elaborate and costly tattoos, who wore a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and who chatted on a new cellular telephone equipped with a popular R&B ring tone. > > While glancing over her patient chart, I happened to notice that her payer status was listed as "Medicaid"! > > During my examination of her, the patient informed me that she smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and somehow still has money to buy pretzels and beer. > > And, you and our Congress expect me to pay for this woman's health > care? I contend that our nation's "health care crisis" is not the result of a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses. > > Rather, it is the result of a "crisis of culture", a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on luxuries and vices while refusing to take care of one's self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance. > It is a culture based on the irresponsible credo that "I can do > whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me." > > Once you fix this "culture crisis" that rewards irresponsibility and dependency, you'll be amazed at how quickly our nation's health care difficulties will disappear. > > Respectfully, > STARNER JONES, MD

That's our first car together. (Pam and I)
It was a daily driver, and it shows. 1966 chev caprice, 2 dr coupe. Original 327 and powerglide trans still function perfectly.
It needs a lot of TLC but we hauled it out of it's corner in the shop so we could run it a little.
I've told it many times but I'll say it again. All 3 of our kids came home in this car after being born. It was also our wedding day car, it's been all over the place. I used to have a reciever hitch on this thing, I pulled a 20' deep V fiberglass boat behind this car. Big heavy I/O boat with a 351 ford V8 engine.
This is one tough old car.
We aren't running it over to the car show this weekend but we will drive it to the after show party which is just as fun if not funner than the car show itself.

It's taking a break from me.
Or i'm taking a break from it, or something like that lol!
But it is looking very good. Things arent happening really fast at this point but stuff is getting done correctly.

no reason to force it. get it done when time will let it. No reason to rush it and get realy burnt out from it. you got lots of cars to keep doing.

I had the same vehicle style in dark blue as a company vehicle in 1966/1967.It was FAST.

Stan in SC I bet it had wheels like Dave's does. That's what made it so fast!

Was at the car show in Hawley today. Will post some pics later. Gonna take a nap and put aloe on my sunburn.
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.
