That's the one I have, too, but in long rifle only. Same barrel length.

My hands aren't all that big so I really like the way my 4" Model 34 and a 5" 63 shoot. I also have a 3" and a 5" model 60 in .357 Mag if I need to carry something a LITTLE more powerful.

I have been a bit hesitant to mention one of my all-time favorite Kitguns. I often carry a 4 H&R 925. This 22 is a bit heavy but it has excellent sights, a very good grip S&W Magna style, and the weight makes it easy to shoot well. The H&R revolvers are generally bargain prices and they are a good knock around Kitgun.

RJM,
WOW!...You weren't kidding! That's some serious prices.
Will start my local gun pusher on the trail of a model 51.
Thanks to all!!

Local "gun pusher" says "good luck" finding a Kit Gun in 22 Mag.
Guss I'll have to start checking gun shows.
Might have to settle for a 22 LR...IF I can find one of them!

I'm gonna try Sportsmans Warehouse for a price on the Ruger SP101-22lr.
If they're close to what Oregon 45 paid, I might end up with one.
THEN will start saving for S&W Kit Gun, to go with...(grin!)

Sportsmans Warehouse didn't have a SP101-22 LR in stock.
Seems they're almost as hard to find as Kit Guns...
Dang...Why me? Seems when I finally make up my mind, I can't find what I NEED. (grin!)

huntsman, Thanks!
I found ONE on gunbroker. $559.
By the time I pay a dealer and pay shipping, I may as well buy the one at Cabelas for $ 627. Might save 30-40 dollars by waiting.
Gotta think this through...I can buy at a primium and shoot it today, or WAIT, which I'm NOT good at!
Thanks for all the help.

$627 for the SP101 22lr really is ridiculous; I paid about $100 less for mine new at a local shop a month or so back, $627 is at or near MSRP.

Ended up with the SP101 from Cabelas.
$610. out the door.
I paid a premium, but got to shoot it yesterday. (grin!)
Worked the sear 500 times, snapping it with a gloved thumb between the hammer and frame.
This seemed to smooth up the trigger pull.
Got two, 8 shot groups just under 2" at 10 yards off hand.
One with CCI Velocitors and the other with Aguila souper speed, rated at over 1700 FPS.
Don't know what these would cronograph at in a 4" barrel? Anyone have any idea?
Thanks! Virgil B.

Wanted to add;
The 4" SP101 fits reasonably well in my ElPaso IWB designed for a Ruger Blackhawk 4-5/8"
Now I got to start saving for a S&W 22 Mag. Kit Gun to go with my new Ruger! (grin!)
