I'm up isle tonight. My buddy and I are headed to the Mille lacs casino to watch some of our co-workers that are fighting in a MMA fight there tonight. They are two oft best on the country and one is the headliner tonight.

I heard there is a lake up here too so I might see if it holds any fish.

well Kendra changed her mind on the pink camo ring, that white gold was just too perty to cover up she said. I can't fault her for that I guess.

She pulled some drag for sure. I was Lindy rigging with 6# test so I had to be gentle.

My friend took some pics with a real camera so hopefully he sends me those tomorrow. If not I can post the off my cell phone.

We were trying to figure that out Jim. I have no idea and I don't carry a scale in the boat. It was 20 7/8" so not quite 21. I do have a bump board that the Tournies use, so that should be right on.

My son caught one that was 19 3/4" and weighed 4.75 pounds on a certified scale 6 hours after it was caught. Fish was kept on ice, but probably lost few ounces in weight. One of the prettiest smallies i've ever seen. It went on the wall.

Tom, your fish was certainly in the 5.5 pound range.

My best todate is 19", 4.5 pounds.

It might....but someone else will have to do it cuz she be swimmin again.

I think the only fish have mounted would be a big pike or muskie. I caught 2 walleyes that were over 30" and as far as I know they're still swimming. They were both caught durring tournaments so I didn't have a choice. One was 30 3/4", pretty sure I'd have kept that one. shocked

Thanks.

It was a pretty fish. Lots of green and brown. If I ever wanted to have a smallie mounted, that was probably my chance I guess. I'm kinda second guessing myself...

I would recommend a replica. I will never mount another fish, the replicas are better all the way around. I have 2 replicas and a real mount in my office and NOBODY has ever guessed correcty which is which. They all look good, but the replicas never go bad. If you decide to do it, call Matt at Artistic Anglers in Duluth, he is the best and if you tell him you are a friend of mine, he will only charge you a little extra! Nice fish!

You need to get a smaller dude to hold your fish. My brother is 6'-7" and 270# so I don't let him any where near a photo.

My 5'-2" wife has been in a few. wink
