After the 30-06, which was the original, what was the first less heavy hitting cartridge in the Model 70 and when did it come out?

Was it perhaps the .257 Roberts?

There was the .22 hornet and the swift. I'm not sure what year they were first available but they were pretty early.

The Swift was listed in the initial offering in 1936, along with 250 Savage and 257 Roberts. The Hornet was not listed as available until 1937. However, the Hornet was still available in the model 54 at the time of the model 70 introduction in 1936.
