Takes you right straight to the "Iowa Behavioral Health Association" web site. Not even the right state.

If any of you guys are interested in this famous battle check out this website and scroll down to "Survivors in Bighorn Folklore" The horse, Comanche, is the only survivor on the losers' side that I know of. He got stuffed and mounted (full size) in the U. Kansas Museum of Natural History.

Has anyone been to Villa Louis in Prairie Du Chien? When I was there as a young boy, my mother pointed out a portrait on a landing that she said was of Myles Keogh. Why it was there, I do not know. She said that after he was killed at the Little Big Horn, the artist came back and retouched the portrait very subtly so that when viewed from just the right angle, the face appears bloodied and bruised with four fingerprints of blood on one cheek. I remember standing with the light coming through the window and being able to discern what she was talking about.

I read a book on Comanche, he was shot 17 times, the indians didnt want him he was so bad but being the only one of Custers group left they worked to save him! was a pretty good story, read alot of that battle, still have most of the books!

When I saw him last he looked worse for moths and mildew and damage from leaking sinks on the upper bird and mammal ranges that he did for bullet holes. But I heard they rehabbed him
