So I was reading the other post about Air France and how they required their own paperwork to transport firearms. I am booked through United, but the flight is actually Lufthansa.
Good thing I called the airline - they require the firearm to be checked ahead of time. If I would have waited till August 10th when we fly out, I would have been sidelined. They also require 50 Euros for transporting a firearm on top of the large baggage fee....
And the only other nuance that I could find is that they require the ammunition to be locked in your baggage.
Has anyone else flown Lufthansa and seen any other issues?
