I am planing on visiting my daughter and son in law in september at camp pendleton. when he gets back from afganistan. and would like to catch some tuna how far will the fish be that time of year? I would like to take 4 people privatly but if its too far out we will have to go on a share boat thanks

I say do it. That is a great time to go. Go to Bloodydecks.com and look for some shared trips. I have been on a few trips. The best one was a 2 1/2 day trip on the Pegasus 2 or 3 years ago. On that trip 17 of us caught 260 yellowfin in 8 hours along with a ton of skipjacks and a few small bluefin along with yellowtail and dorado. I brought back 100 lbs of yellowfin fillets. It is a blast.

I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...
