Greetings bow enthusiasts!

I am interested in lengthening out my fall whitetail season. Got a frontstuffer for December, now I need a bow for October.

Anyway, went and looked at a few and got to talkin' with a young fellow. He said they are selling more and more long bows. I like that idea. I tried shooting one a few times. I had little trouble keeping them in a pie plate at 8 yds, and haven't tried a long bow in 30 yrs!

I'm thinking, just get a long bow and practice enough to keep it in a pie plate at 15 yds and that should keep life pretty simple. I'm going to start building a blind this weekend, and that is about the max shot I would attempt for this set up.

This would be an economical, simple and old fashioned route to go.

I would appreciate any thoughts from someone with experience.

Regards, sse
