Kidney Saute. (Has that bouquet of cow piss.)
Lamb or mutton. (I'd leave the house when my parents cooked it - always had the aroma of tarred hemp rope to me).
Liver or any gut meat such as the kidney saute above.
Stinky rotten cheese that has the aroma of a bone meal plant.
Sea urchin row (my French grandfather would eat crap just to see what it tasted like).
Calamari - especially with the heads still on. I don't eat bait.
Asparagus or Brussels Sprouts.
Add turnips and rutabagas to the above (except in pastie pies drenched in gravy).

Fried liver

The aroma makes my mouth water. I even enjoy the flavor. There's something about the texture. If I try to chew it I'll ralph up everything but my boot heels.

I honestly can't think of anything I've eaten that gags me, but I'm pretty sure that if you plopped a fillet of serpent down in front of me that might do it. Especially if it's recognizable for what it is.

My Norwegian ancestry neighbor was just talking about lutefisk earlier this week. He still can't eat any fish as a result of childhood experiences with the dish. Why, oh why, does such landfill still exist in these days of refrigeration?

Rare meat, off any animal, it has a very foul odor, and I aint imagining it either.

I gotta snout like a penitentiary bloodhound. sick warm/hot uncooked blood is stanky.

the 'new' pickles Wendy's has switched to on their burgers

can't stand kimchee either

Early Times (that's a food in Tennessee) taste like wet cigarette butts

btw to gunner: I can eat raw hamburger by the fistfuls, little garlic powder, some sea salt, I'm not allowed to brown the spagetti meat- I'll eat 1/2 of it raw

Some fermented foods, like natto, can be hit or miss. Sea cukes and some other ocean creatures are also a little rough.

Filter organs like liver and kidney are off my menu.

creamed corn (what's its purpose, anyway?)

nearly anything that's too perfectly spherical (eg: cherry tomatoes = barf, but regular ones are flat enough on top, & can be sliced, anyway). Peas are an enormous offender.

any hard liquor that sells for < $15 per 750 ml bottle. Not an issue much these days, what with me largely swearing-off the sauce. I can still recall, though, when my brother could only afford Dark Eyes Vodka... sick

calamari (I love the comment about not eating bait! I was 19 before I could let a shrimp pass my lips, and that was on a dare. As a kid, I'd fish with my grandparents on Matagorda Bay, and shrimp is what the speckled trout preferred. I knew that people ate shrimp, but after smelling them for an afternoon in 95 degree heat, I had no will to ingest one myself.)

organ meats

used to be lamb/mutton, but I'm getting over that:
1. My wife has mad skills with that protein
2. 2 days on half rations during a sheep hunt will make fresh Dall backstraps taste like filet mignon with high dollar champagne!

I don't know, it's a cultural dish I guess. We Scandinavians aint the brightest tools in the shed either. grin

The smell and taste of lutefisk are horrific, but the texture might be even worse. I have flashbacks of elderly people slurping it down with gusto, and then wanting more. Ugh.
