I know you would have mentioned this but I have to ask: Is there no cargo chair with the longhunter? And no lid, meaning the top portion of the pack that is designed to stay with the frame in hauler mode? So the frame, a standard pack bag, and the other things you mentioned?

Yes, correct. BTW, I would not use a cargo chair and top lid. It does not work that great and is heavy. I would get a HPG highlander with compression kit. Thats is what I used the last two animals I packed out and it worked great. Although I had the "prototype" compression panel but the Highlander setup is even better now.

Price drop: $400 for the Longhunter and $600 for both packs as a package. Might ask $5-10 more for shipping if you live East of the Mississppi. All my gear seems to go out that way and the shipping costs are killing me.
