is suppost to do just that, I had some of that new, mixes with any type or color, prestone, as an extra bottle, mixed properly 50/50, tested to -45 , and at -2 it was slushy, but still tested at -45 so I used a diffrent tester same thing, just glad it wasn't in my moter. All I can figure is that it was a messed up bottle (chemically). Anybody else have this issue?

I do 80/20 in all my vehicles and they test to -50 with no slushy problems. I would think that you have too much water in there.

I test mine after the motor warms up.Somebody told me that the specific gravity changes as it becomes warmer.????

After the engine warms is, or had alway been the way to check your antifreeze Thats the norm from all I've been told in 40 yrs of driving.Unless this new stuff can be checked accuratly cold?--Jim--
