Looks like some serious kidney busting tires. Dang tires are prices. Those must have an extra couple barrels of crude in them just due to their size. Hope the bank didn't bust.

I like the tires. They will be good for what that truck is tasked to do. I look at that truck and envision frosty mornings, a grouse crossing the road, a cup of coffee and good times with friends and family.

We got the girl a bunny and it sure was a hit! she loves it and is taking responsibility for it. Last night, she put it in the outside cage before supper and about an hour after supper went to see it. No bunny. Full blown, 100%, certified panic ensued. After checking my dog twice for evidence of bunny fur in its teeth, my little boy found the bunny. After a while, I checked the bunny and it was wet from the girl's tears! But a good lesson was learned (make sure the lock is closed on the cage).

Oh yeah. Goodyear is proud of their stuff! I have not had good luck with the Goodyears until the last F-150 I had. In the 2000-2002 range the Wranglers they put on the F-150 I thought were junk. I wouldn't have taken a set if you gave them to me.

I had 4 flats in 3 days, including 2 in one day, just from rocks on a gravel road! I was not happy.

I've seen improvement since.

Today is a landmark calendar day. Today marks 5 years since we lost our dearly missed Waylon.

This weekend on Sunday he would have turned 42.

This week swings around once a year. We think of him so often, but these annual landmarks in time bring an intensified focus on our lost friends and family members.

Ive written so many words on this topic in previous years, Id like to deliver a shorter expression or message this year.

I guess Im just celebrating what we had and what we still have because of him. Specifically his 3 wonderful children, what wonderful young people they all are. And of course we have the memories as well, mostly funny, lots of happy stuff.

Hoist a glass when its appropriate today if you care to join me in celebrating the life of a great man and a dearly missed friend.

We sure miss you buddy, and well never forget you.

To Waylon!

One of the best friends a guy could ever ask for! I treasure the time he was with us and I hope I never quit hearing that big goofy laugh in my head. smile

Miss you man!

Also, thanks Dave and Pam for creating a place to share good times here at the fire and out at Chickenbuck. You have touched many lives in the last 5 years and Waylon would be very proud.

Muffy,

When my dog got fixed, I helped her in the pickup the next day at the Vet and she turned and faced the passenger door all the way home from Pelican. Then she got out and gave me a dirty look and went in her dog house. About an hour later she came out all wiggly tailed and started licking my hand. I think she thought she had got her point across and that I had learned my lesson! grin

Dogs are funny!

This time of year is always difficult. Today being the date of the accident, and the 1st being his birthday. Lots off good memories, never to be forgotten. Miss you Waylon!

Avery did very well at the vet today. She was not mad at me at all.
