I'm another one who who has had good luck with Ramshot Big Game in .22-250 with 50 and 55 gr bullets. H-414 worked well, too with 50 gr bullets.

I've been working up loads this past couple weeks for a Cooper M22 Phoenix .22-250 I recently acquired. I have had good luck with IMR-4895, 3031, 4064, H4895, Varget powders. I find that the higher velocities produce tighter groups. My rifle has a 1-12" twist. I have chosen the Hornady 53gr V-max. Here are a few 100 yard 5 shot groups it likes.

34.0-35.0 G of H4895 or IMR 4064 are always good with the 55's. I shot a lot of coyotes with 39.2g of H380, FEd 210 primer. Here is a site with a lot of loads for the 22/250 as reported by hunters in their particular rifles: http://www.centerfirecentral.com/viewer.htmlGood luck

gentlemen, Range report. Tried some IMR 8208X BR yesterday evening. Using 36 grains and a 50 grain V Max in neck turned R-P brass I discovered the other day. The 700 Varminter vintage 1975 with an 8.5 x 25 x 50 VXIII shot all of them into a group that was pretty good. The rifle really likes the 8208 powder. Going to take the Oehler out and see what they are running. Reload data on the Hornady site says they are trucking along @ 3928 fps. I think my rifle will stand a few tenths more powder as there were no signs of pressure. Great accuracy, low recoil, and my first experince with the Hornady V Max bullet impressed me a lot. Next up after the Prairie Dog shoot next week will be some 53 grain Hornady V Max bullets with IMR 8208 and CFE 223. Should have about 700 empty brass to work with. lol

I run 39.6 H380 CCI 200 Primers Win Cases Nosler 50 gr B.T.. 26" Barrel. Will have to look at seating depth as it is a custom barrel with match chamber. Will look at loading data if you are interested. They shoot very accurate and very explosive on groundhogs and crows.

I like H380 because it meters so well that you can use thrown charges w/o weighing. That's quite a consideration when you're running up 1K of pdog rounds.
Aim for the exit hole.

There just isn't that much differance beteen a 50 and a 55 BC wise. Go to a fifty and use Benchmark and visit the + 3900 fps club with very good accuracy.
