Shoots pretty well with Lapua brass without reforming. mausershooter Campfire Member Joined: Mar 2012 Posts: 161 Idaho	I have a thing for the 6.5 bullet. I have a .264 WM, a 6.5-08 and a 6.5X55. I'm building a 6.5X68S. The 6.5-08 is a .260. The 6.5X55 a longer Creedmore. I did some work on a friends rifle while he was deployed it was a .260Rem. I have handloaded and target shot them ALOT. I have hunted with them all. Seem to me the longer the brass the heavier bullets get pushed faster. I always wander back to the Swede. If I'm 100gr bullets I use the 6.5-08. I shoot 140gr in my WinMag, the 160 don't shoot very well. I 125gr bullets in my Swede and 100 in my 6.5-08. But they are all accurate cartridges. Just get a good barrel and match your twist for the bullet weight that you want to use. Have it installed by a good smith.
