Just wanted to let others know I've had good luck with the Reel Tech: http://www.thereeltech.com/He does a really good job on tuning up and repairing reels, sells some amazing jigs and is also making custom rods. He's based in So Oregon, but it's my understanding he ships anywhere. If you've got a reel that just doesn't work as well as it used to you should give him a try. I'm guessing you'll get it back wondering if it ever worked as well, even when it was new.
Deserve's got nothing to do with it.

Depending on the reel it can make a lot more sense to have him work it over than toss it and buy a new one. He's done plenty of work on reels that people thought were done. He's got a LOT of experience on fresh and salt water stuff. Good guy to deal with that really knows his stuff.
