I can buy a Marbles folding Tang for $101 plus shipping the new model Marbles. From Brownells with discount, Wonder if existing rear sight will interfere with sight picture.

I'm betting the existing sight will interfere if sighting in to same distance. I think the customary practice is to "drift" the existing sight out of the dovetail in the barrel. I did see one instance in wich an individual had both sights on his 99. The barrel sight was sighted in for 100 yds. The tang for 200.
I am currently faced with same dilemma. I have a nice vintage tang sight I bought from Blair but I can't bring myself to drift out the sight on any of my 99s. I think I will go the dual sight route with my 99B in .303.

Thanks, I do like the sight picture of the Recv. mount sights but prefer the Tang sight on the 99 just looks right.
