It's a good thing, too. As soon as you do, I'm afraid that some poor fisherman is going to pull a rusty old .270 Short dog from the bottom of the lake. I say "poor" fisherman, cuz then he'll have to deal with the .277 curse...

257 Bob, Roy
6.5 Swed, RM
270 Roy
7 SAUM, STW, Roy, Waters
300 RUM, Wby, Norma (have shot 30-378 though)
None of the Lazzeroni's...
303 Brit, 325 WSM, 8mm RM, 338 WM (have shot the 338 Federal)
35 Whelen, 358 Norma ( have shot the 358 Win and 350 RM though)
Nothing larger than that other than a 50 BMG in the military.
Want a custom 358 Win and a 35 Whelen and a 375 H&H.
The quest continues...

.270 Winchester.
I was thinking of common cartridges I haven't fired. .270 Win just jumps out at me, somehow I've never busted that cap... though I have shot a .270 WSM.
I have also never fired a .243. The .243 interests me a bunch more than .270.
Any common cartridge that you, dear reader, have not fired?

The curse of taking it in the shorts.....stepping out of the closet curse.....don't drop the soap curse.....that poor fisherman wouldn't be taking his skin boat to tuna town anymore.....

Never fired anything smaller than .22, no belted magnums except 7mm Rem Mag, .338 win and .375H&H, come to think of it, no other "magnums" either! My bias is showing.
The did not fire list is pretty long! so instead,
My current lineup is .22 RF, .22 RF smoothbore shot, .22 RF mag, .22 hornet, .222rem, .243 Win, .25-06Rem, 7x57, 7x57R, 7x64 Brenneke, .308, 30-06, .303 Brit, 8x57JR, 8x57JS, .357 mag, .35 Whelen, .375H&H, 45-70.
Used and hunted with in the past but gone now are the .250 Savage, .257 Roberts, 7mm08, .270win, 30-30, 8x57JRS, .356 Win, .357Rem max,
A couple of interesting omissions: I have never fired two of the most common cartridges in the world - .223 ( 5.56MM Nato) or 7.62x39.

Biggest rifle I ever shot was a Remington 338 MAG. But most vicious recoil: Mossberg 500 shooting 12 gauge sabot slugs.
