Had a tough time with the much needed rains and whatnot, but it was good to get out there and see some game. Got into lots of deer (looking a lot better than a few years ago), some elk (including a bull, but no pics) and a bear ( I do have a license this year). Didn't take as many pictures as normal because it was raining much of the time, or the glimpses were a little too fleeting or I just didn't have a camera handy. Mostly spent time in medium high country that I could hunt for shorter spells than I might normally try during an archery season wilderness hunt. Just won't be able to spend the time I'd like to this year. And yes the deer were on private, but heading right into some BLM to bed. Little wallow: Saw some good rubs, here's one of the better ones: Storm coming in quickly, time to get off the ridge: And some deer: Most of the elk were still pretty high, but it was nice to get into some around camp, just couldn't get pics, so these will have to do:

Very nice, thanks for sharing these. It sure makes the summer go by faster....or maybe slower....I am not sure, but what the heck, I enjoy seeing these!

Enjoyed the photos. Thanks for posting. I've had some great times scouting. I think it's almost as enjoyable as actually hunting.

Thanks for the pictures. I am heading west this weekend and am going to look around too. Hopefully I will get some pictures as good as yours.

If we continue to let the wolves multiply in colorado then in another 5 years pictures like these will be very hard to come by. Just talk to our brothers in the states which have wolves already. Great pictures by the way.

Nice find Mark. I'm still snooping around.
Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy you a hunting license and that's pretty close.

Damn! I was hoping they wouldn't get here.
Maybe they'll make them like coyotes, and we can hunt them year around.
Wishful thinking.
