If that was me I wouldn't need to worry about chitting while up there or for at least a week after I got back on the ground.

They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

As I mentioned earlier, the "camping" isn't the point.

As Yosemite is one of, if not The, most important climbing arenas in the world, thousands of climbers from everywhere do these wall climbs every year. In fact, most climbs on the overhanging walls at Yosemite are close to 5 days if a team chooses to do it technically (as opposed to climbing solo [no rope, no buddy, just a chalk bag and shoes] which can be done in half a day). Many of the pitches (one rope length) are impossible without aid. Aid is the use of climbing hardware instead of just the hands and feet to advance upward. Aid climbing is very hairy (obviously there are no handholds at all) and takes a while.

Most of us fasted or went on cleansing diets for a week before one of these expeditions, just to avoid the necessaries up on the wall. But when you have to go....you can't just let it go on top of a team that might be following you up the mountain, now can you?

Actually not possible, as these walls overhang so the bag would miss anyone coming up below you....however, there are people on the ground that might not be so lucky!

When a column of troops under Lt. Col. Francis Smith moved into the countryside to collect arms and munitions gathered by the patriot militia, hostilities erupted at Lexington and Concord on Apr. 19, 1775.

I mentioned that they were aid climbers very early in this thread. I'm glad you could back me up.

They always reminded me of construction workers with the belts, bags, clips, cams, bag of metolius bolt hanger hooks, hard hats. Sometimes even Dewalt drills. lol

serious dudes for sure
