Heading for garden island on lake of the woods, an epic LOW destination, it should be a blast.

There be big fish there.

Big walleyes.

Assuming this is your new truck T, my ex boss had those problems with his F-150 too. More than once. Wonder if its a flaw?

No rooster, not on the new truck...the new truck is a 2004 4-runner.

Bill,

What kind of bow does your grandson shoot? My daughter wants to start shooting. She can't pull much back. I'd just get a regular "kids" bow but she is left handed and it throws a wrench into the plan a bit.

Yes, I want to come hunting out there, but this year is not in the cards. Next year is a good possibility though.

Tom, he shoots a Bear something or other. Check out Diamond (Bowtech), Mission (Mathews) too.

Great day at garden island with the kids and my folks. The forecast was completely wrong wind wise, which made for some swells up where we fished. Nate boated a 27" walleye pictured above which was quickly released after a picture. Lake of the woods has a release slot on walleyes 19.5" to 28". We released 3 in that slot size yesterday.

Great Eyes, Dave.

Spend the day at Deer Fest Saturday and had a great time. I did score a new pair of Muck Boots at a great price. Granddaughter did well on the clothes too.

The new WI bow record buck was on display. All I can say is WOW!

Took the boy and my dad to the Car Craft Summer National car show today in St. Paul. LOTS of bad ass cars. I still enjoy back to the 50's a bit better, there are a lot more cars there.

CCSN, though allows any year of vehicle in so you get to see some great cars from the mid 60's and newer, where back to the 50's only allows 64 and older models.

I have some pics but they're on my cell phone. Dave saw most of them, I texted him some all day.

ND et al

I think that is the first pic of soft water you have had in any of your posts.

Nice fish!

Big crayfish (crawfish)

That big walleye spit out a couple of them when she got up in the boat.

OK, makes sense. On my phone, it looked like a dinosaur, but I couldn't zoom in clear enough to tell what it was.

That dang ol walleye thinks it's a small mouth. grin
