Rocky,

Whenever you get in I can pick you up. Only caveat I have is that I need to be back at home like 7am Monday morning(27th) so as to shower up before going to work.

The last time me and Leighton drove back overnight, it aint far in Texas terms. I drove back at night on account of I didn't want people to see Leighton riding in my car wink

I regret to announce that I'll be spoiling everybody's weekend.

I'm coming!

Just booked flights, and will accept Birdy's MOST kind offer to ferry my aging butt to the beach. And possibly even back.

Of course, because I won't be able to get much onto a plane, I'll have to worm my way into somebody's tent, borrow an air mattress, share a fishing rod...

...and buy more than my share of the beer.

Roger, in a week and 1/2 I'm on my way to SW Colorado. Be back 10 days or so before this trip.
Soooo- what do you want brought. Whiskey, snacks, small table, water
soft drinks?

Good, I'll also bring that shade deal, ice chest, extra fuel, lunch meat , bread, and some kind of grilling hard wood chips.

Just the normal camping stuff.

Fishing stuff: What were the little strip that go on the hook called? Need to see if I can find any out this way.

WTF? The guy stole my exact game plan, like play-by-play. If you bring a cooler with 60 lbs of live lobsters, scallops and steamer clams, you're going to be hearing from my patent/IP lawyers. You're welcome to use my patented pint of beer with 4 oz worth of Beam via funnel move, though. YW.

I didn't have the balls to ask to bum an air mattress, though...

Rocky, if you have room in your bags, how about bringing a copy of your VN book for me. Signed of course. Pay on the beach. If you don't have the room, I'll just have to order one.

Roger, Nice gear!!
Still kind of waffly on the trip.
Wife is up so far for the roughing it out with the kids, but unsure about the impact of her female presence and the 4h+ drive with me postcall on friday and having to be back on Monday
I'll see if I can trade my call ob Thursday and avoid the post-call drive and maybe show up with the other people from Houston, not just on our own (in case anything happens).

Anything we need to bring for the group? smile

bring water and drinks stuff to make sandwiches, can't have enough of that, bring talcum powder too, works great for getting the sand off your body.your camping gear and a few changes of cloths. walking around in wet shorts all day will get you pretty raw and walking around bow legged.

If I remember correctly Roger, it's legal to carry on PINS or have possession of a pistol?
