I built a few benches for friends and my step father and they all told me I should try and sell them so here it goes. Legs and frame are made of steel and painted black. The legs screw into the frame for easier transport. Top is made of 3/4 exterior grade plywood with a conversion varnish applied to both sides. Top measures 32"x40". Height is around 32" but can be made to whatever length needed. Assembled,it weighs around 50 lbs. give or take. Pics Would sell for $225. Not looking to ship but would drive within reason to help with delivery. Will ship at buyers expense. I get discount shipping rates at work. I can pass the savings to the buyer. Just want to let everyone know that this is a hobby so I cannot turn these around in a week or two. Just wanted to be up front with everyone. Thanks again. Dave

Thanks guys. I'm in West Virginia. Inwood to be exact. Yea I got the design off of Stucky's. These benches are rock solid. Found a bolt gun I like and was trying to raise some funds to help with purchase.

Your right huntsman22 I think the legs would sink in the ground before these things break!!LOL Shooting off one of these is like shooting off a concrete bench. Dave

Dave, it appears that you do great work. One thing I've found is the rear 'tab' of the stukey is too wide for extended shooting sessions. My elbow got real sore. My fix was to 'narrow it up' to 12 inches. That way, you can kinda 'hook' your elbow over the edge. I also added a carpeted cooling shelf underneath to store ammo outta the sun, and let barrels cool down in. I also didn't think too highly of the 'rifle stand' cut-outs. To easy to dump a gun if the WYO wind is right, or inadvertently bumped. I cut and routed 'hand-holds' instead. I also used 1 and a quarter osb instead of interior grade 3/4 ply for added weather resistance and ridgidity. My leg system is also 1" pipe to lighten it up/offset the added weight of the thicker top, without sacrificing strength. I angled the sides, rounded my top for looks, but it made it harder to stand up against a wall for storage. I coulda/shoulda left it square on the front end........ bump, for a well-made, kickass bench at a good price........Don

Thanks again huntsman. I have already been studying yours!! LOL You bring up some good points.I use a pc. of carpet for my elbow. First time I tried shooting off of it I too noticed it doesn't take long for the elbow to get sore. Also the top and the legs have carry handles so you can break the bench down and handle/carry it easier. This is the first time trying to make shooting benches like this so I'm sure I will be tweaking it to make it better.

Hey huntsman, if you ever want to "compare" our benches to one another, let me know. Wouldn't mind coming out your way for 5 days and do some comparing on the dog towns. LOL

How much for the base and an outline of the top? I can cut my own top and screw in my own pipe legs here Would have to be shipped.

qkwik-grip clamp, cut down with a 1/4 bolt welded on......a ballhead off a busted window mount to finish it off. I've also used a piece of angle aluminum clamped on, with a window mount.... cheap and handy.

257, the legs do not use pipe threads to attach. you'd have to do the whole frame/legs, together.
