So I've decided to take my SS ADL in '06 and turn it into my next year's sheep/bou/black bear gun. Just picked up a used KS stock the classy's here yesterday, plan on switching out the scope/rings combo to Talleys and a Leupy 2.5-8.
Im now wondering if I should cut the barrel back to 22" instead of leaving it at 24". I plan on having the bolt fluted and skeletonized, thinking possibly AI it as well, so while its there why not have it cut and re-crowned right?
The gun shoots great now with what I've fed it, so I'm afraid of possibly ruining a good thing.
Thoughts?

Ain't gonna ruin anything if everything is done correctly.
You're also in luck on length, I did mine at 23", seems about right.

Mine is at 24" and balances perfectly...but if I did it again would do a 23" so would never have to ask that question...
