30 lb power pro has worked just fine for many years. I currently have a 6000 thunis by shimano spooled up with it for when the bunker pods are around. You could go 20 but I find tying the knots a little easier with the 30 . I fish from a boat though and have the ability to chase if need be. If you are fishing from the surf and need a lot of line capacity the Yozuri tsunami braid it super slick and very thin, I have that on my bottom fishing reels in 20 lb. JMHO

I've gone through a couple grand in thin lines and found Powewr Pro to be the worst of em but maybe they've tightened up that loose weave.......I prefer the Jerry Brown Line 1 solid braid....not found in most stores.....try BHP tackle.....Basil is a great one-man operation.

he aint tuna fishing Vern , if he was I would agree with you on that or the Moi Moi . I use both of them on my big game rods. Basil , well ok if you like him have met and spoken with him several times at length.

M21 43 between 40 and 45 lbs 13 between 45 and 50 lbs and 6 over 50 this season so far couldn't tell ya how many in the 30 class, the PP will get it done fine. Tie a palomar knot to a spro 75 or 100 lb barrel swivel and a 4 foot shot of 60 jinkai if your tossing plugs, jigs or bunker snags. If your live baiting tie an allbright joining the mono to the PP and use a 25-30' shot of 25 lb . The PP doesn't like the rocks , hence the longer shot.

Linky to the all bright

Jerry Brown is good stuff. I'd order directly from Jerry himself.
