Gee whiz, take a week vacation to take the daughter on her first ever Canadian fishing trip and miss a ton! Puddy tats, new houses, trail cam pics, work weekends....a busy time of year.

The nights are cool and fall is in the air. I do proclaim it okay to have fall fever (I have a bad case already).

My 8 year old daughter caught her first northern and walleye on this trip and we had a lot of fun, even thought the fishing wasnt that good at the beginning.

Chickenbuck is looking fine these days! Although one thing that hit me looking at the pictures is that you need a porch! Porches are a big help fighting the worlds problems ya know. Just add beer to the porches and all is right with the world. Any future plans for one ND?

ND and i were talking about a nice covered porch on the cabin this weekend. have some good ideas for one. i think it will look good and keep the ice off the coolers when its snowing. make a nice gun rack out there too.

Wasn't Tom or someone designing a porch/planter/beer kegorator? Someone around here was. That accomplishes everything except serving as a benchrest.

With a few modifications, it could be a benchrest.

Yeah covered porch is in the future. we can keep a little stack of firewood out of the snow just outside the door that way too.

Sauna is also part of the plan... someday..

Something clever here.

Well, I'm officially out of money.

My offer was accepted on the house, I close in the end of September, and here is the new "Alimony Pony"

WOW!

Lotsa work got tackled at Chickenbuck this weekend. Nice job guys. Little Joe has good taste in rimfires, that high standard would have been my favorite pick too.

Great to hear Uncle Dusty made it up to camp. Doctors are scratching their heads, but we know why he's doing well.

You got a pile-o-folks praying for you Uncle Dusty!

We added a covered porch 18 years ago. Don't know how we got along without it.

Think about it for a minute....it'll come to you.

It's what one has to buy when he trades in a new truck so he can buy a house for him and his kids to live in.
