I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first

Some guys liked them others didn't. I don't plan on shooting them in my 6.8's. I'm pleased with 100gr. and 110gr. Nosler AB's. The Barnes 95gr. TTSX also shoots very well. I've yet to recover a bullet as all shots have been 'pass through' on deer.

I'm just a little curious about the statement "they WAY overpenetrate on deer..." Personally I've found that TWO holes in a deer 'let out lots of blood and in lots of air', what more could you ask for? What the heck is "over penetration"?? Your goal is to kill the animal as quickly as possible and IF it doesn't drop in its tracks, and few do, then two holes offer a much better blood trail than one entrance hole which may be small. I'm sure some 'computer hunter' will flame me over that statement but I don't really give a hoot. I've taken way over 100 head of big game and know what works and what doesn't.

You're obviously not familiar with Jeff O whom jwp is quoting. If you do a search for his posts, everything will make sense. Well, at least why he is quoting Jeff will. grin
