What are the specs of the bow? Weight of pull at what length?
length of bows, fast flight of dacron? What woods.
What all comes with the bow and how will it be shipped?

Mike

Sorry 'bout that.

It's a 60" bow, and it's 65# @ 30 inches.
The only strings that have ever been on it are dacron Flemish twist.
It's the standard laminate that Fred used on the Bighorn TD bows.

Does it come with the Sta Jac? <grin>

Great bow. Brings back fine memories for me! I had a couple of "Fred Built" recurves. Both TD's and both were killers in my hands also.

Somebody is getting a classic.

Sorry, the Sta Jac isn't on it anymore. grin

I had to quit archery due to health problems. The bow has been stored away for several years because I couldn't bring myself to sell it.

It's time for somebody else to enjoy it.

Nice Big Horn, I have had a couple of them in the past! That bow should be in the high 50's at 28" draw which is the average draw length for most traditional archers! Here are a few other web sites that may be a better place to sell your bow! Good Luck!

Even E-bay is a good place to sell traditional bows!

Thanks Bonecracker!
I was thinking around 58-59 pounds at a 28" draw. Most folks say around 2 pounds per inch of draw length, and this one had zero stack all the way to my 30" draw length.

Did you buy it when Bighorn was located in Loveland, Colorado? Glenn something - was the bowyer in the shop with a big husky guy. I had two TD's back then in the early 80's. They were an excellent bow.

I ordered it directly from Fred Asbell. I believe they were located in Ft. Lupton, CO then.
He had somebody working in the shop with him, but I don't remember his name.

That's right. Glen Nelson, great guy. Showed us around the shop.
He was sharing the building with King of the Mountaun wool clothing. Usually was a spendy stop.
People, these earlier Bighorns were the best they ever turned out. Great workmanship with attention to detail.

bigwhoop,
you know your Bighorns! grin
This one is from the Brackenbury, Schaefer, and Assenheimer era of custom recurves. There were several more around in that time period, but those three were the first ones to come to mind.
I've never shot a bow as well as I shot this one.
