Any opinions of the Ambush rifle in 223? Bud's has them for $1279 shipped and they seem like a pretty nice rifle if one wants an 18" barrel and Daniel Defense's reputation seems pretty solid. The price is pretty close to the RRA ATH.
Some reasons I'm looking at this particular model is that I don't want to build/assemble an AR right now and I don't care for the bark/report I get out of another 16" 223 I have. The weight also doesn't seem terrible after I mount optics.
So any thoughts?
David

Im just curious why 223? Im assuming that its going to be a hunting rifle and I believe they offer it in 300. In any case I called Daniel Defense the other day to inquire about their MK-18. They wont build another one that hasnt been ordered till late october/early november.
