Good info!
Gary, I had never managed to locate his obit on that site.
Here's more Enoch Tue info..
I have found that the 1900 census shows he first immigrated in 1888 from England, the 1910 census says he immigrated in 1889. The 1910 census lists his birth date as 1867, the 1900 as June, 1866. 1867 appears to be right if he was 59 in 1927. Both show him residing in Utica in 1900 and 1910 - which makes sense, since I doubt he'd do engraving on the early 1899's from Buffalo. A record from Ellis Island shows he entered the country on Mar 05, 1894 - though I believe this was really a trip home he made for his father's funeral (Enoch William Tue died on Feb 8, 1894 in Darfield, England). In 1894 Ellis Island listed him as an Englishman, by 1910 he was listed as a US citizen.
In 1900 he was listed as having been married to a Tessa Tue of New York - marriage date of 1896. In 1910 he was listed as being married to a Mary Tue of New York, marriage date unknown. Can't find any news on Tessa, though Mary makes the papers a few times starting in 1904. Could be Tessa was a first wife, or could be that the 1900 census got her name wrong - Mary is listed a few times as Mary T. Tue, and the obit lists his wife as "Theresa Langmeyer". So could be that "Tessa" is really "Theresa"? But the marriage dates don't square up, Tessa in 1896 versus the 25 years listed in the obit would make Mary and Enoch's wedding date in 1902.
I'd seen Enoch's death listed in a paper on June 9th, 1927, but never managed to find a full obit. Also, on July 9th of 1927 there was a legal announcement printed to his relatives in England about Enoch's wife Mary T. Tue entering in his last will and testament into probate court.
On Satuday, June 11th in 1927 there was this in the Utica Daily Press, hard to read so there may be typos.
TUE - On Wednesday, June 8th 1927. Enoch Tue, aged 59 years. Funeral services from the residence of his niece, Mrs. F. H. P???, 811 Emily Street, this Saturday afternoon at 5:30? Friends are invited.

This brings up the question as to who engraved many of the 99K rifles.
3071XX Shipped Feb 27/1929 3128XX Shipped Sept 15/1928
Neither rifle had a date as to when received in the warehouse.

Good question, from what I've read Savage didn't get Gough until they bought Fox in 1930. And there's no mention of any sons in his obit.

Old post from Fug seems to indicate that Gough may have done K's freelance before Savage bought Fox. Gough came to Savage when Savage bought Fox but he had done 1899-99s when he had his own shop. Guns were shiped in the white so the factory records say.
You also have this regarding an employee list that Jed had. So even though Harry Tue isn't listed in obit, maybe he was still around in the late 20's? Don, if you check the list that Jed posted there is a Harry Tue that is listed as an engraver. He might be the son of Enoch.
