Managed to overtighten my AR's castle nut so we shot pretty much everything but that and the shotguns, today. The AK shot alright with the original rear sight reinstalled, and the new Beretta Neos ran just fine for my friendgirl -- but managed to have five malfunctions in two mags when I went to shoot it, go figure (with WWB). We've determined the AR's about all she can comfortably shoot, right now, and she learned to use a spotting scope, too. And I managed to outshoot the old man with the Glenfield Model 70, even with the absolutely terrible cheapie scope he insists on keeping on it (it also needs a new mag; go figure :D). All in all, a good day.

Notice the very stylish hat. The Campfire rocks! We had a great time, ran a lot of ammo. We bought two of the $95.00 Nagants from Fleet Farm. Shot mine for the first time today. Was presently surprised with it, and will proceed with getting a scope on it and making a butt ugly backup rifle out of it.

Only downside to the whole day was a broken stock on JOG's Model 7. A chunk of plastic next to the safety broke off. So if anyone's got a cheap Model 7 stock they'd like to part company with, let me know.

Good to finally put a mug to the words of a friend, and glad to hear you're getting others into the shooting sports. Sounds like a good day all around.
