I recently called daniel defense to inquire about their Mk-18.Its an M4 type rifle in 223 and looks extremely short. I am eyeing it but Im not sure if Im going to buy it. Price is a factor but my question to you guys is this: If you own one, whats the overall length of the gun? Did you have to fill out an ATF form 4 and all that crap. Because if I have to do any of that ....Im just going to forget about it completely-well-most likely anyway.

Nevermind, much to my dissappointment I found out it was indeed a SBR...subject to NFA regulations and regulated by the ATF....

What's wrong with doing a Form 4? I did a Form 1 for a Mk18, and it serves a very nice purpose.

Then DON'T sell it, and that "big brother" schit is overblown. If and when they start rounding up guns, I plan to start using mine. Also, do you have any idea how many folks own ClassIII stuff? They likely number in the millions I'd wager. LOTSA stuff to come round up. Ain't happenin'.

The DD Mk18 is a very nice CQB weapon. It is indeed a NFA SBR purchase. It's on my short list of future purchases...

Not only that, but when's the last time you saw a gov agency be efficient at anything??? There's a decent chance that it would take years to compile a list of who has what and where they are.
