Been at it fifty years and even owned a gunshop in the late 70's-early 80's. Just about anything American made and most of the Japanese stuff has been on something I owned.
Now I'm down to Weaver, Leupold, Vortex, Mueller, and Alpen.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

This thread is really hard to follow. It would work better as a poll. These huge lists of scopes blur in my head by the 4th post.

Sorry, but a poll won't work. Look at what the OP is specifically asking of each responder!

I'm currently using Minox ZA3's and ZA5 and Zeis Conquest. Pretty sure these will stay with me until I give up shooting/hunting.

Sorry, but a poll won't work. Look at what the OP is specifically asking of each responder! I was thinking if there was an option to vote as many times as you want, then you could vote as many times with a given company as the # of scopes you have. I can't follow this way. All I see above is a bunch of us own about every scope made and multiples of some or others. I'm not sure how to use the information. Now if it was a poll and you could vote multiple times for each manufacturer, then at least I could see how many scopes are out there of each brand. If you can't vote multiple times, a poll saying "what company are most of your scopes", then that would help. Or if you can vote once for each poll choice, you could say, "what brands do you own." As it is, my head hurts looking at the lists above. If you can diseminate that information, more power to you. I can't.

A good number of Leupolds, two Kahles, a few old Redfields, and two Trijicons. Have become more attached to the Trijicons over the past two years, they and the Kahles are on the most used rifles.

I owned about a dozen Denver Redfield and Leupold VX type scopes for many yeras until 2001. That year (3) of my VXIII Leupolds went bad along with one Leupold VX II. That was the year that I started converting all of my scopes over to Zeiss, Kahles and Swarovski, followed by the Zeiss Conquest and Minox AA5 some years later. Presently I own: -(2) Kahles AH scopes, 3-9x36 and 3.5-10x50 -(1) Zeiss Diavari V, 5-15x42 -(1) Swarovski AV 4-12-50 (same as Z3) -(1) Conquest 2.5-8x32 -(1) Minox ZA5 2-10x40 -(1) VXIII 4.5-14-40AO Leupold -(2) Leupold VXII 3-9x40 and 2-7x33 -(1) Vortex Crossfire 6-40
This does not include (3) Zeiss Diavari and Conquest 3-9x40 which I have given my kids.

Like many starting out I had a mixture of tasco's and bushnell sportviews. As I became a bit more financially solvent I acquired several of the old steel weaver scopes ranging from K10's to K4's ,K3's and K2.5's some of which I used up until just a few years ago. My first quality variable was a bushnell scopechief iv that was an excellent scope. I went thru a sell out phase several years ago when my buddy moved away and sold most of my rifles and then we reconnected and began hunting again and since that time I have used mostly leupolds though I do have a 4x monarch as well as a pentax pioneer 3x9 made by burris and a older burris 4x. Currently in play I have:
vari xii 3-9 vari x11 2-7 vx-I 2-7 vx-II 1.5-4.5 pentax pioneer 3-9 nikon monarch 4x burris 6x compact on a 22lr old 4x sportview on a 22 mag.

Current:
Leupold - 4 Ziess - 1 Trijicon - 1 (my "go to" deer scope) Weaver - 2 (rimfires) I don't own many guns so I don't have many scopes. Have sold several Leupolds, one Aimpoint and one Trijicon.

Started off with a pair of 2-7x Tasco World Class scopes, one the reticle turned on a 45, the other was hazy and I gave it to a buddy who subsequently threw it away.
Since then I've picked up a combination of:
Leupold: M8, FX-ii(s), Vari-Xii, VX-i, VX-ii(s), Vari-xiii(s), VX-iii(s) Bushnell: Elite 3200 (and a Browning to the same specs) Burris: Fullfield II Nikon: Buckmaster and a pair of Pro-Staffs on .22's
I've pretty much settled on the Leupold, but depending on price and intended use, I'll go with some of the other brands in the same class.
