Can get my hands on a Browning High Power safari grade 30-06 serial number 6L 37326 for 700$. Trying to find info on serial number but can't get the real info i need; saltwood stock or not, date of manufacture (think is 1966) Anyone got something that could help me?? Thank-you! Not sure about the salt wood manufacture dates, but there's no problem with that stock. 40+ years and no corrosion = good to go.

Same opinion here. See no evidence of salt stock on those bare metal images. I'd buy it.

The Browning salt curing process began in 1966 and went on until 1971. Your '66 rifle certainly looks to pre-date the start of the troublesome process. Good luck.

Unscrew one of the butt-plate screws and take a close look.I've had a couple of '66 guns and they were good,but you never knkow
