Here is the first group shot out of a 300 RUM that I built.
It was shot after shoot once and clean for 10 rounds.
3 shots at 100 yds. Remington Factory ammo 180 gr. Corelokt.
I really like the RUMs.

I got the action MS.

Big Stick really bled me on it, oh man, did he ever take his pound of flesh (Rick writhes in pain then quickly checks to see if anyone is noticing, then proceeds to writhe in pain some more). 700 BDL long in blue.
I better find the Victoria's Secret catalogue quickly! I'm gonna need something to balance this out!

Rick, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT!!! Don't do the Victorias Secret thing. She will see right through your ploy. All women KNOW that men buy the woman stuff from that sleezy place for their own etification!!! It really isn't for the woman, but for you!!! Whewweeee, I just save you from living in the garage for a year buddy. Let HER decide what she wants. Oh, and by the way, why in the heck did you go with an Alaskan BLUED BDL when I have this nice SS model in my hands. I could even throw in a blued BDL floor plate. Flinch

Rick, I am thinking $375 shipped to your FFL. OR, I if you could find me a deal on a Sako Stainless synthetic with no key lock in 7mm mag. or .30-06, or .25-06. I could get really excited as well. Let's talk. I tried to e-mail you, but I don't know if you got it. Whatcha say? Flinch

I never have been big on the ultras. Dont think that, in a big game chambering, they have too much over standard. Wish I could get them in standard action. Still, with accuracy like that from factory ammo, how can anyone NOT like them.

Built that one on a Rem 700 30 06 action.
Not sure if you meant short action when you said "standard" They use the standard magnum bolt face too.

Damg, that is my dream rifle Celt, only not in the ultra [Linked Image]. So, what is this 700 SS magnum action worth? No nibblers, no biters? Make me an offer. Flinch

Sweet[Linked Image] Be a little hard to tote up into my climbing tree stand though!! One of these days I hope to have enough range to be able to enjoy a rifle like that 280-300yds wouldn't even warm that one up good....

The guy who bought it says he is going to handload.
I hope to see some targets from them.
I am really interested in seeing the 200 MK's at 1000+

ROTR,
I know what ya mean. it was so easy it was almost a crime shooting 12 ounce water bottles at 400 yds. The guy who bought it hit one the second shot he ever made with the rifle. I just told him where to hold on the mil dot (100 yd zero) and water was vaporized at 400.

gotta make me one someday soon [Linked Image] A pair, 308 and 300 RUM
