Mine likes three 30 grain Triple 7 pellets and 250 grain Shockwave with the black sabots. Run patches every third shot and it will cut cloverleafs all day long.

I have owned many many Encores over the years and found them to be rather picky when it comes to loads they will shoot accurately, My current Encore 209x50 stainless likes two 777 magnum pellets and a 250 gr Barnes TTSX with easy load sabots.................Good luck cause it can be frustrating........................Hb

My Encore 209X50 shoots the 250 gr TC bullets with 2 X 50 grain 777 pellets and a magnum shot shell primer very well, about moa well. It will shoot about any bullet pretty well, but not quite moa. The groups seem to improve the more I shoot it, imagine that. I hunt elk with mine and was told the 250 grain bullet was too small, so I shot some 300 grains with no real difference at a 100 yds in point of impact, and patterns were good with both. I tend toward a faster bullet and shot my elk front on last year at about 130 yards with the 250 grain tc. He went about 30 yards.
