I know there are a lot of option but I am looking for a new bow. I currently shoot a Matthews Q2, but the draw is too long and I am in the mood for something else. I am leaning towards a Bowtech. Any advise or suggestions are appreciated.

thanks

I shot multiple bows this year including the Mathews Switchback and Ovation, Hoyt VTEC and UltraTEC, Bowtech Liberty and Allegiance, and AR 31 & 34. The AR 34 is now hangin' on my wall. I loved the feel; smooth draw, minimal vibration, and most of all the extremely low profile grip. By all means, shoot everything you can and decide from there. Just givin' you a nudge in the right direction. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I've got a Switchback and recently shot the new Hoyt Trykon. Both are excellent bows, but I think the Hoyt had a little more vibration. But do like Waylon said, find a pro shop that will allow you to shoot a bunch of different ones

I did a lot of internet research and ended up buying a BowTech Pro40 Dually. Love it. Very fast. I drove a 500 grain arrow completly through a caribou at 50 yards this year. Great bow!

Don't overlook the new Oneida Black Eagle...They were smoother than any bow at the Sport show. The new ones are very fast and a LOT quieter than I remember.

Shoot the ones you like and make the decision based on what feels good to you. Everyone is different and preferences vary. Stay with the popular brand names and you will know it when you shoot the bow for you.
