I saw a moose last night on my farm. It was a decent sized bull. I haven't seen one of those in a few years. No I wasn't drinking.... smile

Just catching up on things here, missy, very sorry to hear about your friend, that's terrible.

Talked to Dusty on the phone again last night and wow, what a difference in his voice. there is a new level of energy and life in his voice that I haven't heard all summer. He sounded very much like himself again. He's been fighting a brutal fight with this cancer and this recent break from chemo treatments shows that there is a lot of rebound left in him. His treatments now are the precision radiation treatments that muffy mentioned in a previous post. I believe they have a plan to string about 30 of these treatments in a row, basically every day with weekends off.

I'm sure there will be side effects but I'm hopeful and optimistically confident that they can't be as bad as the effects of the chemo.

Now for a little additional twist on current health status for team chickenbuck. We have a young female chickenbuckeroo on her way to Grand forks medical center this morning to have a kidney stone removed. Weezy has been in the hospital and at home under our care for the past 30 some hours and Pam is bringing her to Grand Forks to have a kidney stone removed this morning which is very much past the limits for "passable"

It's very strange I think for such a young person to have these troubles, I deal with kidney stones myself but I'm in my 40's. The stone she is dealing with right now is much larger than anything that's ever given me trouble.

Anyways, I guess a little prayer this morning wouldn't hurt. I know it's a common procedure but I also know she's scared just the same as I would be.

I'll update as soon as I hear anything from Pam this morning.

Well, complications in Grand Forks. I'm really not sure why they scheduled us for a day of travel when they aren't prepared equipment wise of staff wise to deal with this stone. It sounds like a machine used to break up a stone like this will be available tomorrow. Until then they will use a stint to allow the kidney to drain which will relieve pain and address nausea etc.

The stint will remain in place until tomorrow's return visit crazy at which point they will blast the stone and hopefully remove the stint and release her all happy and healthy.

Step one of the kidney stone challenge is done with, they will blast the stone tomorrow.

The boys and I pulled camera cards tonight at the cabin, we got some new deer pictures and a few bear pictures too.

Nothing too exciting as far as the deer pics and the bear pics are night captures so they aren't real good but it looks like a decent bear.

Ryan txt me, it seems they are working on increasing the human population by (1) person in South Dakota this morning.

They plan to take delivery of one brand new female human, size extra small, very soon.
