dang, a 5" .44 special? Never knew they made those. And a couple registered magnums, too? Cool!

Wish I had hit the lottery Saturday. Some nice pieces there.

I thought I was a gun nut job.
Let me check my wallet and see if I have $5680.01 to get in on this bidding?
Cool, but had to be a pissing contest.

Paying that kind of $$ for a .44 special revolver is the same as paying that much for a rare stamp or coin. He never intends on shooting it, just possessing it.
I understand the sentiment, I just don't happen to share it.

I like these guns not just because some of them are quite rare, but it looks like they all have been shot. To me, that is what they are for, and it just shows how well they were cared for.
Some were used more than others, but it all looks like honest use with no backyard gunsmithing.

Heck, a few years ago I saw a Registered magnums sell for $6K, and that 5" .44 is probably more rare.
