Gun is in great shape. It has a very few handleing marks. The modle 50 was built by FN from a Belgium action. The V-9 weavers are bringing a consistent $275-350 on ebay. $750 shipped to your FFL.

pretty rifle, I have one just like it. Got a question. Why are old Weaver variables worth so much?

They are a nice vintage scope that makes for a classic setup but check completed ebay listings for the going prices on v9's.

The rifle is one of the finest actions money can buy!

I have one that has had a model 70 style safety added. I would compare it to my dads pre-64 featherweight quality wise.

I cleaned one of those up last year and built some loads for the owner. That action was like glass. Free bump for a nice rig.

A link for example please. Is the stock original to the Model 50 rifle?

Thanks,
Geo

Everything I can research says the stock is original. It does have the JC Higgins buttplate. The highest I see the weavers right now is $100-$140. When I got the rifle I looked these up and they were bringing that. There is several asking that much but no bids that high right now. These are very high quality rifles.
