I is a heck of a nice rifle, though...

You know a good hard case, properly packed, and insured shipping. He ain't making a killing on the shipping. Sterling Davenport is a great custom gunmaker.

Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets

Tip Burns is selling that for someone from Austin. I was fiddling with it a couple of weeks ago in his shop and was darn tempted to pull the trigger. It is a fine rifle with a few dings here and there. Had a nice target too. It won't go for the $3k minimum.

You know a good hard case, properly packed, and insured shipping. He ain't making a killing on the shipping. Sterling Davenport is a great custom gunmaker. Fully insured in a hard case, he is looking at at least $50 for shipping and depending on where its going, could EASILY be $75... this is not including the cost of the hard case, packaging material, or the shipper's time... I would feel fairly confident saying he is not really not making anything in shipping fee. I've shipped several $3000 shotguns that broken down, without a hard case, cost me $65 in shipping with insurance.
