The only time I ever even opened the lever was to take those 2 pictures of it. It really is a beauty!

Love it even if it is a post mil! My go to rifle is a 99C in 284, only ever fired 2 shots once! Bang, flop great cartridge.

There must be another way... Sell something replaceable. Sell the children into slavery, they'll get over it!

That's too bad. Sorry you're in a selling mood but hope you realize a good return. It's a screamer of a rifle!

Looks like my first deer rifle- I had a model 99 in .243 in 1976! Killed a 19" ten point that year with it and have been hooked ever since.

Brian-I think you should hunt that one this Fall and then sell it after you shoot a nice buck with it. It will bring more once it has become a proven buck killer!!
(Very nice piece by the way...hope the auction goes well)

Very nice....12 days to go on a post mil and already at $1940. You should do well on it.

The coat is an XL and was handed down to me from my grandpa. It has seen better days, but still gets some use when camping. As for the auction, I think it's going to go.

Brian...love the rifle and the coat! I am a big fan of green plaid wool hunting garb! Be it that it was your Grandpa's, it's best you always have it!

Nice rifle. The 284's must be a little different construction from the rest. I am wondering how the rotary mag is retained on these. I do not see a cross screw that you normally see on a 99 toward the front of the receiver............Never noticed that before. How's that work?
