Older style unit, like new condition, $75 TYD. I think I paid $150 four or five years ago. Selling because I had a long trip to Alaska this summer and needed to be able to get messages about ailing father, so I converted to heavier and more expensive Delorme system. The SPOT system only sends pre-set messages out of three different types, though you can send arranged sequences of pre-sets to indicate other needs (broken down vehicle, elk down/bring pack animal, BRING BEER, etc.). You buy a lot of peace of mind and household harmony with one of these things regarding broken ankles, etc., especially if you hunt alone a lot. Some people also put them in their car in remote areas. Actually, the float plane I hired to take us into Alaska had a SPOT velcro'ed to the console!
